Maybe this is starting over or maybe starting better... Either way it is starting something

Sorry it’s been awhile since I wrote. Life has been a bit of a Debbie Downer at points and so I figured it was best to keep the misery to myself as opposed to the web. I mean—it’s not a big thing or even worth more than a few seconds of my life but it’s enough to throw me off.
The problem was this pilot I just worked on with the one and only Davis. In the aftermath of a certain cancellation he found a small job that had room for both of us and so I decided to come along if only to keep myself off unemployment for a bit to be able to stretch it out down the road.
The thing about the pilot was that it only supposed to be 6 days of work tops but as soon as we made our first day I knew that it was kind of unlikely to be the case. Normally that wouldn’t bother me; I like working and money and getting the chance to put my best foot forward and meet new people who can help me out down the road. So much of what I do—what most of us do—is based off names and faces and connections so every job is a chance for another big step forward down the line.
What I didn’t like was the weird vibe of the office. Now I don’t know what the show runners were told about our experience but I’m guessing it wasn’t much. This is because for most of the run we were treated like idiot monkeys that had some gained the ability to type and speak but not much more.
One of the hardest things in the world for me is to not be respected and when it comes to my job I know that I am good. I have mounds of experience and all also inquisitive so when I feel like I’m being condescended to it really drives me insane. Even more so when a story person stands behind me, reading my typing and tapping my shoulder to remind me that ‘this is important’. No shite.
So all in all I was miserable for a good portion of the show—so much so that I barely kept a good game face on. I say barely because Davis got to see a lot of what I call the ‘Bad Rory in the workplace’ who is pretty damn evil.
And it didn’t help much that I was making a little less than what I would have gotten from unemployment. Because then all I can think is that I could be doing my kick boxing or prepping my advice column website or even flossing my teeth. When you’d rather floss then be at working—it’s not a good thing.

Spelling Feud Holds Up Tori’s Tribute to Dad
MONDAY AUGUST 07, 2006 11:20PM EST
Tori SpellingPhoto by: David J Dowling / Shooting Star
A special tribute to the late TV producer Aaron Spelling to be hosted by daughter Tori will not air on ABC this fall as planned – after Spelling's widow and Tori's mother, Candy Spelling, blocked the project, a source confirms to PEOPLE.
Spelling, the legendarily prolific creator of such shows as Love Boat, Charlie's Angels, Dynasty and Beverly Hills, 90210, died June 23 after a lengthy illness. He was 83. His wife and daughter have maintained a highly strained relationship over the past few years, aspects of which have been coming to light in the days after the patriarch's death.
Tori was to have served both as host and executive producer of the ABC tribute, according to the source, who said: "All of his (Aaron's) stars had signed on and some interviews had already been taped. … But Candy wouldn't release the clips of his shows because Tori was involved in the project. She had it killed."
Candy Spelling's representative, Kevin Sasaki, confirmed to PEOPLE that she had "talked to ABC about releasing the clips for the tribute," but denies that Candy stopped the show. Instead, he says, "she didn't feel the timing was right … since the Emmys were doing a big tribute to her husband around the same time."
He added, "She had nothing to do with this except that she was asked to release the clips and she didn't think it was the right time, so she turned them down."
ABC, which was long associated with Aaron Spelling's shows, has issued "no comment" about the proposed Spelling special.
Meanwhile, the source tells PEOPLE, Candy has agreed to provide clips to rival network NBC for a tribute to Aaron on its Aug. 27 Emmycast. The source confirms that she will attend the Emmy ceremony with son Randy Spelling but that Tori has yet to be invited as part of the family.

That I'm not celebrating my birthday any more. After a lot of thought I have decided that I am not only not doing anything for my birthday this year but I'm done trying to celebrate it.
It seems that every year something awful happens on my birthday to upset me and so I have decided to stop trying for a good one. I know this e-mail will come off as bratty, childish and immature but I'm tired of playing Charlie Brown to the Lucy that is my birthday.
So what I'm asking is starting with this year that my birthday is done.I don't want events or parties, gifts or cards, songs or phone calls. It's just something that I think will make me happier in the long run and as my friends I hope you'll understand where I'm coming from.
I've actually thought this for a long time as I lived through so many bad birthdays with the waking up the hospital, friends out of town, not so surprise parties, parties that fell through as well as my unrealistic expectations.
I'm letting you all know this because I know that I had spent a lot of time this summer thnking I was going to do something but there is way too many things in the way and I could feel myself getting upset and depressed so I deicded I'm done.
I know that this e-mail will probably get passed on and talked about. I would hope not but understand that people will wonder whats up.
Anyways--that's all. I just wanted to let you guys know this is REALLY want I want for my birthday. Not to have one...
Hang out soon?
PS And honestly--there is a certain camp appeal to having my last birthday be so infamous. Who else could have that happen to them?
Keep good

1) My super cool black and white slip on boat shoes. Comfy, cheap and cool.
2) Hanging out any roof top BBQ at Kelly and Lizzie’s place. Food, beer and new people are always fun.
3) My new hair color. It’s exactly how I like it.
4) Helping Jac redo her guest bedroom into an office. I love a good challenge which it was been.
5) Spending the night with the boy and being able to cuddle the whole time. It’s been awhile due to our crazy schedules.
6) More parties then I can shake a stick at—including possibly my own. Suggestions?
7) Being able to turn down a bad job because I know I’ll find another sooner than later. Nothings better than feeling like you don’t have to be miserable.
8) Corinne Bailey Rae—think Nelly Furtado with Norah Jones but really British and sweet. I’m obsessed.
9) Not only am I going to be able to make Ali’s birthday party but a CRUISE. How much fun can it be--unless Jason Patric shows up.
10) The fact that my brother is so freaking out about his baby. I’m gonna be an Uncle—how weird.

So ‘The One’ was canceled. This didn’t come as a surprise to most of us; once we heard that univision was beating us some nights the writing was on the wall. What was sad is that—besides getting to work with Davis which I adored—the show was on its way to getting really good. The morning we were told about being pulled all of us were excited to be at work. There had been some shocking twists the night before and even some strong fall out. We were happy to be there.
So it was a good vibe in the MCR that morning as we start to take notes on the morning work out and wake up of the talent. Things are a little hectic because one of the new hires just up and quit the show and so we were down a person but all in all we were smiling. A break came in the taping and I decided to run out to the bathroom.
The bathrooms are located in a star trailer outside the loft and so I’m gone for a few minutes longer than normal. I grabbed a water as I listened to the sounds of the talent warming up at the piano while I made my way through the compound.
I was surprised to see one of our PA in my seat as I re-entered the MCR. I tried to kick him out of my chair but he gave me a blank stare as everyone else just kind of milled around. He didn’t know why I wanted to get back on my computer and I just pointed to the monitor where the talent was sitting in a circle. “I have to work.’ That’s when Blackie—one of the loggers—came over to me.
“Hey—where’ve you been?”
“In the bathroom…”
“Oh—we were just canceled….”
That’s right—canceled while I was in the bathroom. I was in total shock as various people laughed at me. Because how does this happen? And why does it happen to me? It’s not that I was upset—just found it very humorous more than anything.
I just wasn’t expecting going to the bathroom to cost me my job.
I am addicted to a game show. Not just any game show but VH1’s World Series of Pop Culture. The set up is like a spelling bee—it’s hosts either droll or silly but the most fun you can have with random trivia. If they do a season two I want on so bad I will do ANYTHING.
I just need a movie guy and a music guy. Who’s in?

DUBLIN (Reuters) - A kangaroo is roaming the green hills of Ireland after escaping a circus near the picturesque port of Kinsale.
"This kangaroo broke loose just before the show while they were bringing him from the cages to the arena. He decided to take a walk," said local farmer John Walsh on whose land the 2-year-old male, named Sydney, made his break for freedom.
Circus staff launched a fruitless four-hour search following the escape Sunday.
There had since been one unconfirmed sighting of the animal, renamed "Hoppy" by locals and described as two and a half to three feet tall and dark in color.
"He would be happy out there and he'll have plenty of grass, plenty of water and plenty of sunshine," Walsh told Reuters on Wednesday as Ireland basked in near record temperatures more typical of Sydney's native Australia than Ireland's temperate maritime climate.

SO I’m trying to be good. Anyone that was worked on enough productions knows that the craft service table should really be called the ‘we wanna get you so fat you stick in your chair and are unable to leave the office or set with any ease ‘ table but I’ve been really careful.
I get in early and have a small cup of cereal—whatever seems healthiest at the table—with low fat milk. I follow this up with a yogurt later in the morning and then a salad with Diet Coke for lunch and maybe an apple or cheese stick for a mid afternoon snack. I avoid the chips, candy and cookies like a bad ex boyfriend at a party and stay aware that I have cute clothes waiting to be worn.
Where the problem lies is my schedule. I get up at 4:30 in the morning to get to the set by 7 with a combination of long subway rides, walks through scary neighborhoods that I wouldn’t let the said ex walk through. My day ends at 5 and I get home by 6:30-7pm tired and hot so I usually shower and nap for a half hour. I then do social things with the boy or the girls or maybe a party or BBQ.
The problem is the schedule allows for only about 6 hours of sleep a night for 5 or 6 days stretches at a time. So what happens is that to stay awake I prop myself up with food to give me energy. And at night I will eat ANYTHING. I mean things that I swore I would never touch after I gave up being bulimic. It’s ridiculous.
It’s starting to resemble an old Margaret Cho comedy routine about girls who only eat salad in public but get home and putting on their eatin dress and work their way through ice cream, cake and a super sized McDonalds meal because it doesn’t count if no one see you do it. It’s annoying. It’s scary. It tastes so damn good though.
I just don’t want to be fat. Or a living example of stand up comedy.
I normally don’t revisit a previous entry but figured that some might be curious about the fallout—or lack of one—from the Haggis’ demise. Turns out that Edie read my blog before finally coming back to the good old 236 and knew the score before she open the door so she was prepared.
I hadn’t seen her much due to the job so when I saw her--with Ali--on my day off she said that she did like the new set up and wasn’t even really bothered by my decision to remove the body. But she was bothered by my stacking the evidence in room and—to my surprise—told me that we had to throw it out.
Of course I didn’t believe her and asked if she was sure because I knew it meant so much to her. Edie felt that it would be too much to fix it and there was no where for it to go. I was still a bit startled so I asked again if she was sure and Ali laughed and offered to make a memory quilt for us if we wanted. Edie was as blasé as I was overwhelmed but it was decided to toss it in the dumpster and be done with it.
So later that afternoon we left to go meet up with Lizzie and Kelly and I ended up carrying the Haggis down to the dumpster with the girls help. We stopped long enough to dump the Air Chair and then we were off. I was surprised by how much I was bummed by this.
Maybe I should have had Ali make ME the memory quilt.
So at the start of every show there is a bit of a learning curve—the fastest way to get footage in, logged for story to follow, available for the editors—little things that make the show get done. What has been driving me crazy is the feeling that this show is being run by a lot of people with ideas but not much capability in follow through.
I have been struggling with crazy computer programs, people that don’t like the work being done but not communicating what to fix and a post producer who sleeps on his office floor and is so overwhelmed that he can barely have a conversation with anyone. I mean—I have worked in tough productions but I have never felt so much like quitting in my whole life. Ever.
It’s just amazing that we are all so ragged when we haven’t even aired yet but hopefully we can get our shit together soon. I know that there is more staff—which we ALWAYS needed—a bit more of a schedule for the talent but this needs to be fixed faster.
Because I’m already having work dreams and that doesn’t normally happen till a month in. And they’re usually sexy. Not with this show. Sighs abound.
I’m waiting for work to start up and the show to get rolling. And in my boredom I have decided to do something so weirdly anal that it shocks even me. (Get your mind out of the gutter.) I have decided that I need to compile a best of my music collection into a set of cds.
So I have been spending my days picking a single definitive song off every cd I own. This process can take as long as an hour as I go over the criteria for each single—is it the best single? Is it too similar to another song already there? Do I think it properly reflects the artist or the tone of the album it comes off of? Is it too overplayed? Would I be embarrassed to make it one of my must haves?
This task fills many a slow day as I wait for friends to get of work or Edie to get back from the gym or ‘General Hospital’ to start. And the weird thing is how much I LOVE every cd I own. There has only been one album where I couldn’t find something I liked (‘Dew Drops In The Garden’ Deelight) and even then I have made myself listen to it about three times in a row to make me chose. I don’t know if I’m going too far but it’s hard to judge anything when you realize that left to your own devices you go crazy.
But it looks like the series will be a ten disc set called ‘Life in the Key of Rory’. I’d like to think that it will be good. If it’s not then I wasted all my time. And that would be crazier than crazy.

So I’ve been cleaning. And when I cleaning I mean scary cleaning—like under chairs and table, flipping lamps to dust the bottoms, and washing every dish in the house twice. To the point that a room might take 4 to 5 hours and we’re not dirty people here at the 236.
It would be easy to assume that this is because of Edie’s homecoming from the set of ‘Spider Man 3’ but it is instead more linked to my anal retentive ways. See, one of the many joys of living in one place for 8 years (I know) is that every so often things needed to be done to keep this up code. Replacing the oven that never worked, putting heat in so we don’t need parkas in the winter, fixing the occasional ceiling collapse—these are all things that need to be done at points. This time it was the bathroom.
Over time the paint in the shared bathroom had become disgusting due to candles, sneaked cigarettes and rust from decorative pieces. And every attempt to clean the walls led to more damage from either dripping paint or corrosive cleaners so it was decided that the room needed to be repainted after drywall started to be exposed. I took all the décor out and waited a few days (five) for the management company to come and repaint the whole thing.
Afterwards I decided that I should do a good clean before putting the room back together. During the process I found a deep cleaning product that took away stains from even the previous tenants and well—I became obsessed. I canceled plans, stopped blogging or having sex to slowly work my way through the apartment. I justified it multiple ways such as “Edie’s coming home’, ‘I don’t want to workout’ and ‘I’m taking a job that’s going to ruin my life so I should clean while I can’. It was actually fun and rewarding when Mrs. Garrett wasn’t lurking in the corner with a fast food bag strapped to her face.
And then I saw it—the Air Chair. Now most people in my life have had a moment or two with this ‘unique’ piece of furniture but if you are one of the unfortunate to not make its acquaintance here goes… The best way to start its description is with its natural form of industrial rubber casing—similar to a tire raft—longer than 12 feet and covered with commercial grade carpet the color of dehydrated urine. The kicker was the shape could be made into any formation—heart shaped, squared, or even the bastard cousin of the bean bag.
It came to us via a package sent by Edie’s parents—rescued from their basement rec room--because in the beginning neither Kelly, Edie nor I could afford real furniture. So the original Angles of 236 (which makes Kelly=Farrah, Edie=Sabrina and me=Kelly) had an event where the air chair was blown up—by hand—and which lead to the nickname of ‘The Haggis’(Thanks Dominic). We spent many a night reclining on the floor in the various poses that first summer, grateful to have something beside the floor.
Eventually—as we became more financially stable and I began work at Pier One—we started to buy more ‘first place’ furniture which lead to us acquiring couches. I began a slow campaign against the air chair since we didn’t need it; it was ugly and not really as comfortable as the brochure (featuring 70’s art) would lead us to believe. My hatred grew to the point that I began to imagine ways to cause the demise and departure of the Haggis; such as falling on it with scissors, having lots of sex on it so no one would sit there, and even sneaking the chair out the window via the park in the middle of the night and claming burglars stole it. But Edie would have none of it and so I seethed but learned to accept—if not love—it.
And then last summer it started to leak. How it happened I don’t know but like a Hollywood feud it got old and I was the last one standing. I wasn’t sure what to do with the Haggis but I didn’t want to be blamed for its sorry state and so I waited for Edie to come home and deal with it.
Of course she promised to free it from the carpet casing and inspect the old patches—maybe it could be fixed—and I agreed because I knew there was no need to fight it. So I waited as she went from film to film, city to city, adventure to adventure as the Haggis continued to sit defeated in the corner. Until this past week’s cleaning spree.
As I dusted and stain removed, I kept staring at the chair with one eye. I knew that I should do something with it but as the cleaning progressed I realized it was not on Edie’s—or my—priority list. And later that afternoon, mid-clean, I talked with my friend Naomi who pointed out that it had been a year since she had been in my place and it had been deflated then.
Realizing that having a dead chair for a year was ridiculous, I quietly gathered up the Haggis and folded the casing into a neat pile which I placed it in Edie’s bedroom. With a heavy heart I cleaned out its old corner and began placing various extra furniture pieces in its old home. (Which turned into a kick ass reading corner.) I was surprised at how sad the empty spot made me but it had to be done. Even with all the good memories the Haggis had with us.
Maybe I can blame it on my crazed cleaning or Mrs. Garrett or the natural order of the world but the Haggis is finally gone. All I can say really is God Bless the Chair. And please don’t kill me Edie.

I actually decided to wait a week before I decided to try and even write about the death of the one and only Aaron Spelling. Love or hate his shows Mr. Spelling really did seem to know what we wanted before we did ourselves with shows about feminist cops, island fantasies and a certain little apartment complex that would never seem to die.
It’s easy to write off all his shows as fluff--filled with unrealistic characters living lives that always seemed much more glamorous than ours--but Mr. Spelling also did introduce social issues—if only in a seeming benign way. Whether it was creating some of the first major gay characters (Steven Carrington ‘Dynasty’, Matt ‘Melrose Place’) of television, realizing the importance of the youth audience (‘Mod Squad’ as well as ‘BH 90210’) or the inclusion of minorities (Linc ‘Mod Squad’, Dominque “Dynasty’, ‘Isaac ‘Love Boat’, Huggy Bear ‘Starsky and Hutch’) Mr. Spelling was responsible for showcasing people that America hadn’t yet welcomed into their daily viewing habits.
That being said, the most important thing about Mr. Spelling was that he loved television and was the ultimate entertainer. I was fortunate to have met him when he came to the set of my internship ‘Sunset Beach’ to film a cameo with one of our shows stars. He was a quiet, gracious and funny man who seemed to always be watching and studying what was going on around him. Not only could he act and improve with the best of them—he cared about all aspects of his scene and went so far as to be a cut-up to make us all comfortable while still aware of the most tiny details of the show. It’s easy to see that his eye for the full picture was what enabled him to be a great producer and story teller.
That being said—it’s a sad event not only for the industry as well as his family—it’s a loss I feel personally. It’s like Edie said when she e-mailed me about his death; it’s like a part of my childhood as ended with Mr. Spelling’s death. So many of his shows were apart of my young life—‘Charlie’s Angels’, ‘TJ Hooker’, ‘7th Heaven’ and of course—‘Melrose’s Place’—each teaching me about the world in ways that may not have been realistic but still important.
And in honor of that—I have complied a list of life lessons from the one and only Mr. Spelling.
1) That any cruise I might take will result in either a reconnection with a lost loved one or an affirmation of commitment within my troubled marriage. (‘Love Boat’)
2) Being a juvenile delinquent not only doesn’t prevent me from later joining the police force but that my hip streetwise ways may be the key to solving many a crime. (‘The Mod Squad’)
3) That if Gabrielle Cateris can pull off being a high school student in her 30’s then I should not feel guilty about passing for a college sophomore. (Beverly Hills 90210)
4) If my husband is a wealthy millionaire and I’m a world renowned supermodel that it makes perfect sense that we would solve exotic crimes while indulging in campaign and furs. (‘Hart to Hart’)
5) I not only know who Kelly, Jill, Sabrina, Kris, Tiffany, and Julie are but I can tell you who played them as well as debate how Tania Roberts was screwed by the Writers’ Strike of the early 80’s. (‘Charlie’s Angels.)
6) As a beat cop you don’t need to be able to run fast or catch the perp on a regular basis as young as your hotter, younger partner can do it for you. (‘TJ Hooker’)
7) Anyone can be forgiven if they are right for the role. (Shannen Doherty, ‘Charmed’)
8) Hot tubs are dangerous for bulimics and that I am lucky I survived my many post binge and purge Jacuzzi soaks. (‘Models Inc.)
9) Not only do the rich not lead perfect lives but they spend their days dodging ex wives, have lily pond catfights pre-charity dinners and can come out from burn ravaged bodies to be even HOTTER. (‘Dynasty’)
10) When you have an extramarital affair and your lover dies then comes back all sweetness and light then you better check that bitch ain’t wearing a wig covering her hideous scar. Or making bombs while taking to her imaginary friend who looks like a serial killer and pushing her to commit mass murder! (‘Melrose Place’)
All joking aside—of all the things I’ll miss about Mr. Spelling was his innate joy at creating frothy and fun television of all kinds. Whether dealing with the undead (‘Kinder: The Embraced’), Southern belles (‘Savannah’), midgets (‘Fantasy Island’) or dysfunctional relatives (‘Family’) he always kept his eye on what we needed—entertainment.

Genie Francis Returns to General Hospital
There have been many false rumors of Genie Francis returning to General Hospital (or another daytime drama) ever since she quit the ABC sudser in 2002. Finally, there's real news to report!Francis will reprise her role as Laura Spencer for a limited run of unspecified length, per USA Today. "I am very happy to be returning to my General Hospital family and look forward to portraying a role that means a lot to me as well as the fans who have supported the character throughout the years," Francis said in a statement.
Francis will first air sometime in mid-October.The legendary soap star left in a major huff in '02, for reasons she outlined quite candidly in her exit interview with our own Michael Ausiello. She didn't slam the door closed entirely, though, telling TVGuide.com, "I can't really say a permanent goodbye to [GH], because it's just too painful."Well, it appears that time - and an undoubtedly fat paycheck - heals all wounds!
Although Laura is no longer married to Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary), GH fans can expect ABC and SOAPnet to make much ado about their 25th wedding anniversary on Nov. 16. The supercouple's nuptials pulled in a record 30 million viewers back in November 1981.This suds fan is just glad to know that our beloved Laura is returning to Port Charles to see and hug her loved ones. The idea of her languishing in a mental hospital indefinitely was just too sad for us to contemplate.
Three cheers for Genie!
I’ve been in the midst of a work dilemma. I have been working part time for a show and am about to really start up the job within the next week and have been on the fence about it the whole time. It’s not that I don’t want the job; there’s a ton of good things about it.
I mean—it’s a 5 day work week as the head logger for a brand new network show and with people I have loved to work with in the past. It’s even got me on a set day schedule for the full run (7—5) and even two consecutive days off which is nice. And the money is even better than BB and is just as long.
The thing that sucks is that it has a crazy commute. We’re talking long and through a sketchy neighborhood at parts. I really had to sit down and really figure out if I would feel safe and if my schedule would be livable. I mean—what’s the point of all the benefits if you have no life outside it.
And this doesn’t even factor in the X factor. Every new show you start on has its own set of problems and craziness which can lead to either a great bonding experience or a hair-pulling bitchfest. And while I’d like to trust in the ability of the show runners—I think they don’t get what its like to tape people 24 hours a day and so people will be screwed—and I might be one of them. But all I can do is point out the obvious and hope for the best.
Even now I’m still on the fence about the job.
Four jobs I have had in my life:
1. Production Assistant to Seismologist.
2. Assistant Office Manager at Aramark
3. Visual Merchandiser for the Pier 1 and The Gap.
4. Story Editor
Four movies you would watch over and over:
1. ‘Gone With the Wind.’
2. ‘Rebel Without A Cause’
3. ‘Beautiful Thing’
4. ‘Heathers’
Four places you have lived:
1. Los Angeles, CA
2. Pepperell, Mass
3. Bolton, Mass
4. Boston, Mass
Four TV shows you love to watch:
1. ‘Veronica Mars’
2. ‘General Hospital’
3. ‘American Justice’
4. ‘Pepper Dennis’
Four places you have been on vacation:
1. Nantucket
2. Mexico
3. Vegas
4. San Fran
Four of my favorite foods:
1. Salad
2. Stuffed mushrooms
3. Chicken ceaser salad
4. Grill cheese with pepperoni in pitas.
Four places I would rather be right now:
1. San Fran while smoking out the window and staring at the lights.
2. Bryant Point lighthouse with my feet in the sand and night breezes.
3. Griffith Park Observatory starring out across the city.
4. Right where I am.
Four friends I think will respond:
1. Joy
2. Kaylie
3. Ruby
4. Lola

So I haven’t been writing lately and I’m not just talking about my blog. I’m not sure why that is actually except—at the moment—I feel like I have little to say. I’ve been avoiding things; groups, plans, and events for some odd reason. It’s hard to write about anything though when you have nothing going on. It’s a catch 22.
That’s not say that I’m not dealing with things. I’ve had a lot going on in my head recently and they haven’t been things I’ve been ready to really share. Thoughts about work and friends and relationships but most just the bare essentials of who I am. It’s not a bad thing or a good but it’s been a lot of busy noise—white noise that needs to be heard.
And it’s been quite a bit selfish. I haven’t spoken to most people—handed out congrats for their good news or been willing to listen to tales of woe. I’m tried of feeling either obligated or ignored. And I know that’s just me be a bit too sensitive and mostly unfair.
But I do feel like I’m sorting things out. Nothing too bad or too good. Just the things you have to work through your head so you can get them out. And hopefully I’ll be back soon. Cause I kind of miss the ways this helps me work through things.
Which it does.

Sorry I haven’t written much of substance recently but life has been busy—through more faults on mine than I can or should list here. I decided the quickest way to play catch up is to just break down everything I’ve been up to in the last three weeks as well as some cute/bitchy notations on each.
1) Skylar’s 30th birthday. I wasn’t sure how I felt about this party—I mean if there is any relationship that has been stranger than ours—I don’t know what it would be. (Especially since we never slept together.) That said—I had a lot of fun that night seeing everyone dressed up (Props to Kaylee and Kelly as ‘Mama’ from “The Goonies” and the ‘I love you’ Girl from “Raiders of the Lost Ark”.) I also learned that gay guys like to dress up as Elliot from “E.T.”
2) The Rosanna/Donny BBQ. This was fun and seemingly out of the blue; I just never really see that much of Rosanna anymore. Nonetheless a small group of us (Lizzie, Lola, Michelle, Kelly, Samuel, Dominic and Davis) made the scene and swam, grilled, smoked and gained like ten pounds from the poolside action. The day took a strange twist as their neighbor later on left his infant daughter with us as we watched television later that night. It was odd to see Samuel holding a baby—which made me want to ran out of the room—as well as Davis fixation with the little girl. I guess we’re all older than I thought.
3) Helping Ali and Ron Move. I like moving people. Maybe it’s a strange thing but to me it’s like New Years Eve—the possibilities of what’s to come. Parties, coffee, music and cuddling are all things to come and I feel like being a part of it put a piece of me there, That and it ties into my interior design thing. And there’s always a free meal and maybe a beer,
4) “Much Ado About Nothing.” I went later the same night to see Ruby star in one of my favorite Shakespeare plays—though its not as good as “As You Like It”. (I think she’d make a kick ass Roslind. Or Phoebe. But the play was amazing and fun and just a good time had not only with her but watching it with Heath Kirby Candice and Lee was fun too. As was the dinner afterwards.
5) Destination San Diego. I spent the next day and night with Kyra, Lizzie and Lola on a small road trip down the coast to support Lola’s play to stay in the country. And even though I had a “Veronica Mars” moment, it was really fun to get out of Dodge and have a slumber party complete with girlie mags and ‘five questions’. I think we all learned a lot about each other which was good. And what happens in the Vault stays in the Vault, right ladies?
6) Festival Camarillo. Originally we were supposed to go to the Huntington Beach Fair but at last minute we decided to make a day of it on Kelly and Lizzie’s roof. We spent the day in the sun in the new pool with Lola, Rocky, Dave and Johnny just chilling out and eating with some light drinking. I forgot how much fun it was to just hang out.
7) Shopping with the ladies. The next day was the start of prepping for the big birthday trip. We started the day with all the girls (Joy, Kaylee, Lizzie, Kelly, Lola, Greta, Alyssa, and Ava) with a light lunch at the Koo Koo Roo/Topz/ Coffee Bean before making our way to the mall. We then split up and made many an outfit happen as well as had some private time with various people. And shopped for shoes in a team effort. God bless purple lizard Cuban heeled shoes eh? Too bad none in my size.
8) Memorial Day Fun. We spent the holiday in the park with me and Kirby taking the longest way around which result in me not just losing a shoe but some of the nasty blisters ever. Eventually we found all the others and made a day of it. I even got some time alone with Kyra who I felt I hadn’t seen in forever—and it had only been a week. But there was bocce and princess kites and babies and a tall dark and Handsome Davis. It was fun if a bit too much sun for my Scarlett pale skin. I should have brought the stolen parasol
That’s what I have been up to. Well that and Las Vegas—which needs its own entry. I think.
